Saves for Hitting
Have 5 current closers other than Broxton - Downs, Bailey, Lidge, Macdougal, Qualls. HRs, RBIs, runs most competitive categories in our league. Comfortably in 3rd place in saves with Downs soon of DL. Good trade?

Arod is still an elite option at 3b.. hes heating up and should have a huge 2nd half.. blalock doesnt mean all that much in this and you dont really need broxton all that much... Saves are only one category.. arod gives you stats across the board..having 5 other closers can still let you win the saves category.. please help me out

The thing is that currently there are 4 teams (myself and trading partner included) with a very healthy cushion in saves category so even if my plethora of closers doesn't produce there is a low chance of losing more than 1 or 2 points. The RBI and HR points are being shuffled between about 10 teams... Although Broxton's K/IP ratio is ridiculous and he has had 6 wins, I think losing 10-15 saves and 20 Ks (compared to Downs) washes out to Arod's 10-20 more HRs and 30 more RBIs (compared to Blalock). Thoughts?

Ya I can def see the dislike for Arod, but I do have him pegged as 2nd half boomer finally healthy and hitting in that little league park known as Yankee Stadium

A-Rod is not that great. I would rather target a different 3B. The trade, as is, is fine but I just don't love A-Rod.
